Following the Road Traffic (Safety Equipment) (Amendment) Regulation 2024, Hong Kong’s new car seat regulations will start to take effect starting November 1, 2025, and that is why choosing a durable and high-quality car safety equipment becomes an essential to every Hong Kong family. The new car seat regulation mandates all children under 8 years of age or below 1.35m tall to use a Child Restraining Device (CRD) in private cars, whether in the front or back seat. With this new regulation, non-compliance can result in fines or in the worst-case scenarios, it can escalate to court for repeat violations.
